Scent marketing in the Bronx
In the Bronx, most of the work is multifamily and care environments, and most of it starts with odor.
The Bronx's building stock is weighted toward multifamily housing, much of it older, with enclosed hallways, mail rooms and refuse routes that concentrate odor. The first priority in these buildings is odor neutralizing that eliminates unpleasant odors rather than masking them, applied to lobbies, corridors and mail rooms.
The borough also has a significant concentration of healthcare facilities, nursing homes and assisted living communities. These programs are handled conservatively: neutralizing in corridors and common areas, and a light, calming scent only where residents and families spend time.
Older buildings frequently have no central ducting, so standalone diffusers do much of the work here, while newer construction and larger facilities with central air can use HVAC scenting. Where odor is coming from trash rooms, chutes or ejector pits, our sister company Luften treats it at the source.
Typical spaces
What we are asked to scent in the Bronx
The free site survey is carried out in person by our engineering team. From there, a space is served either by HVAC scenting — a dry micro-mist carried through existing ductwork, with no damage to the ventilation system and the fan set to ON for continuous circulation — or by standalone diffusers where there is no central air.
